Start your Holiday celebrations with Christmas in the Colonies' Christmas Around the World – a celebration of fine crafts. This is the 30th year for this event and you will be amazed in the expertly crafted gifts, holiday decorations and beautifully decorated trees in the Festival of Trees. The kids will delight in a trip to Santa's Wonderland where they can enjoy a visit with Santa, face painting and ornament making. Musical groups and performers will be performing at two stages throughout the weekend.
Crafts
Each
of the 100 craft exhibitors have been specially selected for their fine craftsmanship.
Christmas in the Colonies has, for many years, been known as a premier show for
quality crafts. It was recognized as Sunshine Artists 200 Best Craft Shows in

Festival of Trees
Stroll through the Festival of Trees sponsored by the Medina County
Women's Endowment Fund where you'll see beautifully decorated trees, all available

Santa's
Wonderland
Santa Claus, along with his elves, Rudolph and Frosty
the Snowman will be visiting with children in Santa's Wonderland. Children can
have their faces painted, make a Christmas ornament and get their picture taken with Santa!
Children's Area
The children's area will again feature pictures with Santa ($4.00) face painting and craft making at $2.00 each. Frosty, Rudolph and The Elves will be on hand to keep Santa company and get in on the fun!

Csardas Dance Company
Csardas Dance Company strives to promote and further ethnic dance as an art form as it embodies the infectious exuberance celebrated in Hungarian villages. The richness of the Hungarian culture is revealed through performances featuring a broad range of dance dialects and styles. The Ashland University Chamber Singers - Consists of 15 students under the direction of Dr. Ron Blacly
Firestone High School Madrigal Singers - 18 advanced singers who excel in sight-reading, vocal technique, and interpretation. Their repertoire is performed a'capepella without assistance of an instructor.
Cascade Chordsmen - A Barbershop chorus consisting of 20 men.
Mr. Balloon - One of the fastest balloon twisters in the world, Paul Holbert ("Mr. Balloon") performs for thousands each year around Northern Ohio and Lake Erie. Mr. Balloon has been making balloon creations for over eleven years. He can create over 137 different balloon designs. The largest creation is a giant balloon seahorse he created at the Sail and Power Boat Show at the IX Center in Cleveland. It was over eight and one half feet high. www.mrballoon.net
Joyful Sound
Joyful Sound is a dynamic handbell sextet that has been entertaining audiences throughout Akron and Ohio for the past three years. They are members of the auditioned bronze community handbell choir, Stow Heritage Ringers, Inc. Both secular and sacred music are included in the repertoire for a wide variety of performance opportunities. The ensemble performs on a three octave set of Malmark Handbells and Choirchimes.
Michail Roy - Cirque du Papier
Interactive strolling Origami artist and entertainer, Michael Roy Baldridge makes beautiful, handcrafted, colorful origami art. This international artist's nimble fingers form party animals right before your eyes; handcrafting each intricate and exquisite sculpture by folding alone! No cuts. No tears. No glue.
Karpato-Rus Ensemble
Karpato-Rus’ Ensemble promotes the culture and values of the Carpatho-Rusyn people by religious and folk traditions through dance, music and skits from the Carpathian Mountain region of Eastern Europe.
Alpaca
Exhibit
The folks of Coffee Pot Farms are bringing us some cute
and cuddly Alpacas in a 'petting zoo' type setting. They will be sharing all about
Alpacas. Children will be able to make some special wool balls and the public
will be able to purchase some Alpaca products.

The International Cafe
The International Cafe is being run by the great folks from Crosspointe Church. Proceeds will go directly to help local families and individuals get through these difficult financial times. Featured on the menu is Hot Ham Sandwiches, Harvest Chowder, Hot Dogs, Apple Crisp, Cookies, a Kids Meal and lots more.
